How do I cancel my Outro subscription?

We're sorry to see you go. Here's how cancellation works at Outro.

How to cancel

You can cancel your Outro subscription by:

  • Filling out the cancellation form in your Outro portal (under Account Settings)
  • Emailing hello@outro.com
  • Messaging us through the in-app chat in the Outro portal

What happens when you cancel

  • Your subscription ends at the end of your current billing cycle — you won't be charged again, but you'll retain access until your paid period expires.
  • Portal access ends — once your subscription expires, you'll no longer be able to access the Outro portal, including messaging, symptom tracking, and appointment booking.
  • Your data is retained — if you ever decide to come back, your records and taper history will still be available.

Before you cancel

We recommend talking with your clinician first, especially if you're actively tapering. They can help ensure you have a safe plan in place and enough medication to manage your transition.

Consider pausing instead

If you need a break but aren't sure you want to cancel permanently, you might prefer to pause your subscription. Pausing suspends billing while preserving your data and making it easy to pick back up. See "Can I pause my Outro subscription?" for details.

Need a superbill?

If you'd like an itemized invoice (superbill) for insurance reimbursement or FSA/HSA purposes before you go, just let us know when you request cancellation and we'll get that to you.
