How do I join my video appointment?
Joining your appointment
All Outro appointments are conducted via Google Meet video calls. There are three easy ways to join:
Option 1: Via the Outro Portal
- Log in to the Outro Portal
- Click "Appointments" in the top-right corner of your dashboard
- Find your upcoming appointment and click the Join button when it's time
Option 2: Via the email reminder link
A few days before your appointment, you'll receive an email reminder from Outro that contains a direct Google Meet link. Simply click the link at your appointment time to join.
Option 3: Via the email reminder link
You'll receive a text message containing your appointment meeting link 10 minutes before your appointment. Simply click the link at your appointment time to join.
Before your appointment
- Test your camera and microphone — make sure they're working before the call
- Use a stable internet connection — Wi-Fi is best; avoid joining while driving
- Find a quiet, private space — your clinician will want to have a focused conversation with you
- Have your medication nearby — in case your clinician wants to review labels or doses
What if I can't connect?
If you're having trouble joining your appointment:
- Try refreshing your browser or closing and reopening Google Meet
- Make sure your browser has permission to access your camera and microphone
- Try joining from a different device (phone, tablet, or computer)
- If you still can't connect, message us through the portal or email care@outro.com — our team will help you get connected
Late arrival policy
If you haven't joined by the 5-minute mark, your clinician will attempt to call the phone number on file. If you're still unable to join by the 10-minute mark, you may be asked to reschedule to ensure adequate time for a thorough appointment.
